Experience Details & Requirements at Waterloo Fire:
- Job shadow takes place at Waterloo Fire Headquarters
- From 10:00 AM to approximately 12:30 PM (or the conclusion of lunch), you’ll step inside the firehouse, learn about daily operations, see the equipment up close, and hear firsthand what it takes to serve the community as a firefighter.
- Includes lunch with firefighters
- Scheduled for a weekday only, on a mutually agreed-upon date
- If the participant is under 18 years of age, the job shadow must occur on a weekday and they may not respond to 911 calls
- All activities are subject to department policies and safety guidelines

- Go on a tour of the facilities
- Take a ride on a firetruck
